Heat.net, What exactly is it, and what is so good about it?
Heat.net, a home for over a million online gaming maniacs, here they can spend there degrees on virtually any computer/hobby related things, they can meet new friends, get good practice for popular games such as Quake, Quake 2, Battlezone, Baulder's Gate, WarCraft 2, and infinite amount of popular online games, find out what exactly what games are cool and what isn't, win trips/money and all sorts of good things, and get enormous popularity.

+ WHAT ARE DEGREES?
Simply put, Degrees are frequent
player points for HEAT.
+ HOW DO I EARN DEGREES?
HEAT Premium members and Perimeter
members currently earn Degrees for: registering for HEAT, clicking on an
ad, winning an event and purchasing a product in the Black Market.
+ HOW DO I USE DEGREES?
Only HEAT Premium members can use
Degrees. HEAT Premium members can spend Degrees in the Black Market. HEAT
Premium members can use Degrees to buy merchandise (like FREE PC games)
and discounts on merchandise in the Black Market.
Perimeter members can earn Degrees, but Perimeter members can not use their Degrees. The degree accounts of Perimeter members will be periodically reset to zero. Perimeter members can upgrade to HEAT Premium member status at any time and retain the Degrees currently in their degree account.
+ HOW DO I KNOW HOW MANY DEGREES
I HAVE?
The number of Degrees you have
is shown on your Homebase. If you are a HEAT Premium member, this is the
number of Degrees you have available to use. There's also a listing of
your Degrees in the lower-left corner of your screen when you're logged
into HEAT. This will be present on every page of the site you navigate
to and will include a USE MY DEGREES link which you can click on to spend
your Degrees instantly!
+ WHAT IS THE DEGREE BARON PAGE?
The Degree Baron page lists the
100 players who have accumulated the most Degrees on the HEAT site. Your
lifetime accumulation of Degrees is used for the Degree Barons list. So
you can spend your Degrees to get merchandise in the HEAT store without
effecting your standing on the Degree Baron page.
+ HOW DO I GET DEGREES FOR VISITING
THE WEB SITES OF HEAT'S SPONSORS?
Click on the banner ad for one
of our cool sponsors. Check out their web site. When you return to your
Homebase you will see if you got Degrees. Please allow a minute or two
for the award to be posted to your Degree account. Remember the reward
for clicking on ads and visiting the web sites of HEAT's sponsors is completely
random, so you won't always get the large reward. Be sure to check the
RANT for more specific ways to earn Degrees.
+ HOW MANY DEGREES CAN I GET?
There are currently four Degree
awards that you may get when you click on a banner ad and visit the advertiser's
web site. The Degree award amounts are 10, 500, 40,000 and 100,000 Degrees.

Who are the HEAT Footsoldiers?
Footsoldiers are loyal HEAT members
committed to kick-ass online gaming. They think online card-playing is
for grandmas and would sooner drink a glass of spit than pay by the hour
for gameplay.
Footsoldier's Duty
HEAT Footsoldiers strongly support
the right of the individual to frag online. By opposing the tyranny of
boredom, Footsoldiers support mankind's basic freedom to spread the mantra
of digital mayhem. To accomplish these goals, each Footsoldier is given
a mission, and, upon its successful completion, is promoted to a new rank
in the HEAT army.
Footsoldier's Merit
In exchange for their loyalty to
HEAT, Footsoldiers are outfitted with free, personalized uniforms and get
the chance to gain rank and earn incentive gifts for recruiting real game
playing soldiers. Footsoldiers also get extra opportunities to earn degrees,
HEAT's frequent player points, that can be redeemed for free games and
other merchandise in the Black Market, HEAT's on-line store.
Calling New Recruits
To enlist, simply fill out the
Recruiting Forms at the Recruiting Center, mension that ResidentEviler
recruited you. For signing up and playing at HEAT.NET we will send you
a free T-shirt and dogtags. After you join, feel free to tell your friends
in school or at work about the coolest place to play on the Internet -
HEAT.NET. You can also tell them to join Footsoldiers like you have and
make sure they fill in that you recruited them.
What is a cyber trophy?
A cyber trophy shows that you have
earned an award, or did something good... There are too many trophys
to put on my site, but I'll show you all the Footsoldier trophys
In my opinion this trophy is the
hardest to get (below)
This trophy requires, detication,
fellowship, loyalty, leadership, and tons of other stuff, only one person
a year will get this, so far, of Heat's two years, only two users have
acceived this honor, those users, Reniu, and Tapewormz, have shown all
above, and definatly deserve the award.
